What past Telecosm attendees are saying ....

I registered for the Telecosm conference the first moment that I learned it was available to Gilder Technology Report subscribers ... I concur with the other [2003] attendees that it was a great event. Probably the best event I have attended. For me, the value added was to actually meet the individuals responsible for the technology and have the opportunity to ask them any question. There was no one I met, either presenter or attendee, that did not go out of their way to respond politely and sincerely. This went a long way in furthering my education on the issues that are discussed on the GTR forum.
I certainly reevaluated my investment strategies after absorbing all the information I received at the conference. — MK

The material presented was fantastic. Some of the greatest minds of our time. But equally as important, I took time to talk personally with as many of the CEO's and other presenters as possible. I asked them questions I had prior to the event and further explanations of the things I heard them speak about...I will be a big spokesman for Gilder publishing when the next conference comes around. Thank you George for the special invitation to GTR subscribers. — MM

I attended Telecosm last summer and another conference in 2000 on Disruptive Innovation with Clayton Christensen in Vancouver. A high point of both conferences was hearing Carver Mead and George Gilder. However, Telecosm is more than any individual speaker. It is a seminar with incredible delegates, speakers, and spouses & friends who come along. Everyone is looking for ideas, inventions and practices that elevate society through technology. On particular high point was bringing my daughter to the first conference and both my son and daughter to the second. It changed the way they think. My son who is and MIS major particularly liked Bob Metcalfe. For me it was really cool to meet Steve Forbes and John Rutledge. Steve will always have my vote for president. I (and a number of other attendees) had a chance to have a beer with Mr. Rutledge at Bullwhackers Pub and found his economic perspective fascinating. Also the Gilder staff is terrific. It was great to meet them.
I hope to make it to Telecosm 2004. — GTR Subscriber

Its fun to chat with George Gilder and so many others whom one would normally never have a face to put the name with. It's a forum where people with radically different ideologies might be able to meet without rancor. Everyone is well-behaved and courteous. And Squaw Creek is beautifully cool compared to Alabama in August. It's fun, and in my case, tax-deductible. — DDD

Analog and Digital: Summing It All Up

Thirty-five years ago Carver Mead, Intel employee #5, performed the crucial research behind Moore's law. Twenty-five years ago he introduced VLSI (very large scale integration) and foretold the digital age of computers and the Internet. Today, he's headed back to the future, back to an age of analog.
