Senior Director of Strategic Marketing, Qualcomm
Clint McClellan is currently the senior director of strategic marketing for QUALCOMM Incorporated. McClellans current responsibilities include global messaging, overseeing industry relations, market analysis and market research. McClellan joined QUALCOMM in December of 1997 as director of strategic marketing.
McClellan brings a wealth of wireless industry analysis experience to QUALCOMM. Prior to joining the Company, McClellan most recently served as a senior analyst for Gartner Group/Dataquest's Telecommunications Group in its personal communications wireless program. While he was at Dataquest, McClellan served as a news anchor for two years on the Good Morning San Jose show at KNTV, an ABC affiliate, where he presented analysis and commentary on daily news events affecting high-technology industries. Previously, McClellan worked as a marketing specialist at Telephone House Nippo in Kobe, Japan and for CH2M Hill Consulting Engineers in Oakland, California.
McClellan's notable accomplishments include consulting projects with the Communications Minister of Australia about the deregulation of the Australian communications market. He has also provided strategic direction for a major Japanese cellular operator regarding its selection of the second generation digital standard and equipment manufacturers.
McClellan received a bachelor of science degree in political economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
